Interpret BOQs and tender information
Understand the work being priced and break it into meaningful estimating components.
Tender margin protection
Catch the costly details before they become your cost.
CivilEstimate is designed to identify missing information, hidden assumptions and overlooked allowances before a tender is submitted — helping contractors build more complete, transparent and commercially defensible prices.
Protect your tender margin.

The challenge
Tendering can involve incomplete information, changing supplier costs, uncertain production rates, tight deadlines and dozens of commercial assumptions.
Generic estimating tools often provide a number.
CivilEstimate is being built to show how that number was reached. What we're building
CivilEstimate is designed to make pricing logic visible from the first question to the final tender rate.
Understand the work being priced and break it into meaningful estimating components.
Ask structured questions rather than quietly making assumptions.
Show the labour, plant, materials, production and commercial allowances behind the tender price.
Reflect how an individual contractor actually operates, rather than relying on generic averages.
Make assumptions, uncertainties and potential commercial exposure visible before tender submission.
Let an estimator understand, question and defend how a price was produced.
Built for civil engineering
The system is being developed using recognised industry requirements alongside contractor-validated commercial information.
Early Contractor Pilot
We're looking for Irish civils contractors, estimators and quantity surveyors to take part in early validation.
A historic tender is perfectly suitable. You provide the BOQ and the information available when it was originally priced.
Where possible, we do not see your final tender price beforehand.
We compare the overall price, individual rates and major assumptions.
We identify why the estimates differ rather than simply measuring whether two totals are close.
A short review with an experienced contractor or estimator helps determine what should be improved.
Your involvement is deliberately kept small
Why not just use general AI?
AI can already assist with construction estimating. CivilEstimate is being developed to add the contractor-specific and commercial context that general AI does not automatically have.
Pilot interest
We're inviting a limited number of Irish civils contractors and experienced estimators to participate in early validation.
Direct contact
Dwayne is available to discuss the pilot directly with contractors, estimators and quantity surveyors.
