Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data CivilEstimate collects, why, and your rights. CivilEstimate is in early development. We keep what we collect to a minimum.
Who we are
CivilEstimate is run by Dwayne Curtis, Athy, Co. Kildare, Ireland. Dwayne is the data controller.

What we collect, and why

We do not sell your data. We do not use your tenders or rates to price other people's work. Your rates are yours.
Quick Price can be used without an account. What you type is used to produce the price and is not stored against your name.
Who processes it for us

Where a provider handles data outside the EEA, it does so under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or another approved safeguard.
No independent security test has been done yet. One is planned before paid use.
AI helper: some features send the text of a job description or tender line to an AI model run on Cloudflare to help read or price it. It is not used to train public models. You can choose not to use those features.
How long we keep it
- Early-access enquiries: up to 12 months after our last contact, unless you become a user.
- Account and tender data: while your account is open. You can delete tenders yourself at any time. If you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days, apart from backups, which expire on the hosting provider's cycle.
- Technical logs: as short as our providers allow, usually days to weeks.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email dwayne@civilestimate.ie. We will reply within one month.
If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie).
Changes
We will update this notice as CivilEstimate develops, and change the version and date above.
